My Practice

I am a qualified counsellor and counselling supervisor with experience of working with clients of all ages from all walks of life.   I have worked as a counsellor at Sevenoaks Area Mind, a Children's centre in Tunbridge Wells and currently I work with private clients, including couples, in my private practice located in Sevenoaks in Kent.

As a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), you can be assured that my training and experience is recognised and regulated by a respected governing body.

I specialise in Person Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy. This means that I have training which integrates different therapeutic approaches and therefore different methods of guiding clients in ways most suited to their needs.

I can guide and support you through challenging times and work with you through the process of breaking free from old patterns of behaviour which may be creating difficulties in your life.

We can work together to seek the answers within you.  I will be doing this by listening carefully to you and by exploring what is going on around you.

What can you expect?

You may be feeling extremely anxious about sharing what is going on for you. In our first session I will be taking basic information about you and learning more about the reasons why you have come for counselling. Part of the process may be to help you to gain a different perspective of the difficulties you are experiencing. If you are feeling stuck, I may invite you to take a different approach in order to guide you through your difficulties.  We can work this out together.  I will be encouraging & supporting you at a pace which suits you. After our first session, you decide if and how you wish to proceed and then together we can plan a way forward for you.

How many sessions?

Some clients come for one or two sessions only.  Other clients are seeking long term, ongoing support.  Together we can agree a mutually convenient day and time during the week for your counselling session.  I will keep the same day & time for you as long as you need it.   Some clients, however, prefer to come on a fortnightly basis and other clients need the flexibilty to work around their changing schedues.

What does it cost & how do you pay?

Individual counselling sessions are £45 for one hour.
Couples and group counselling sessions are £50 per hour
Individual Supervision is £50 for 1 hour.
Group Supervision is £35 for up to 2 hours
I ask for payment by cash or bank transfer on the day of your session.
